Daata, Greystones

„I’m living right next to ‚Daata‘ in Bray, which unfortunately is under construction since weeks. I heard it’s going to be reopened by the next weekend (spoiler) but couldn’t wait to try some good Indian food. I was happy when I found out that there’s another Daata in Greystones, which is very close to Bray. It was my first time eating Indian food and I absolutely fell in love with it.“

Must try: Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Paneer Masala with plain Naan

The Happy Pear, Greystones

„Being a vegan or a vegetarian is definitely not just a trend and it is nothing new anymore. There are so many vegan and vegetarian restaurants and cafés nowadays and I’m apparently starting to become a bigger and bigger fan of it. The food is so delicious and so healthy. ‚The Happy Pear‘ is a perfect place to relax after doing ‚The Cliff Walk‘ from Bray to Greystones and have a lovely breakfast with a friend. Freshly made every morning with different homemade meals everyday. Don’t forget to visit the beautiful shop as well.“

Must try: I had ‚The Fancy Porridge‘ and an Avocado ‚Toastie‘ – I was in foodheaven and I’m sure by the time you get there, they will have prepared something even better.

The Martello, Bray

„I’ve been to The Martello three times. This restaurant is very close to my school and serves perfectly looking, super yummy desserts. You can get a Swiss Toblerone Cheesecake, huge waffles and their homemade, warm Apple Pie is the best I’ve ever eaten. It is very comfortable to sit outside even in winter, because they placed some heating elements next to the outdoors tables.“

Mochaland Cafe, Dublin

„Leaving Dublin without having eaten a Banoffee Pie in ‚Mochaland‘ is impossible. At least while passing the Ha‘ Penny Bridge I give a short glimpse to that wooden looking Café. Their coffee n‘ cake menue is absolutely great.“

Must try: Chicken Salad, Banoffee Pie

Adress: 20 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin, Co. Dublin

Platform, Bray

„I was wondering if the Irish are able to run an Italian restaurant and surprisingly they definitely can. The Pizzas are deliciously made with a crunchy dough. The toppings are special and so tasty. And how cool is a restaurant which serves Lasagne with French Fries?! I was in foodheaven….. and overeaten at least.“

Must try: Platform Lasagne with sweet potato fries, Chicken Cous Cous Salad, Pizza Ndujai

Boxburger, Bray

„I’ve passed this restaurant so many times and always felt kind of embarrassed by looking at the food the people were eating who were sitting outside. It looked so good. Why haven’t I been there so far? I had to change that and spent there an amazing dinner date with my lovely girls a few days later. Such a huge choice of delicious Burgers. A must try in my opinion.“

People’s Park Food Market, Dún Laoghaire

„Give everything a try you have cravings for – it is an amazing Foodmarket and the food I tried was so yummy! It reminded me of a Street Food Festival with a seaview.“

Adress: People’s Park, Dún Laoghaire, every Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm

Ocean Bar & Grill, Bray

„Walking by day by day. Give it a short glimpse sometimes. It looks so fancy and always kind of empty. I’ve honestly never really recognized what’s going on in there. It probably is expensive. White-laid tables. Anyway, sometimes it is definitely worth it to give new things and places a chance. 10/10!“

Must try: Crispy Goat’s Cheese Parcel, Lightly Battered Cod

Adress: Strand Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow

Millstone, Dublin

„Haven’t eaten a good piece of meat since I left Switzerland in the middle of September. I can clearly remember the tender fillet my sister prepared for the family farewell. It was amazing and since then my palate tastes meat just very rarely. Actually, having your family over for a visit means eating good food as well. I was in heaven as soon as that fillet steak melted in my mouth and I’m sure my vitamin B12 reserves are fully filled again.“

Must try: Prime Irish Fillet Steak 7oz, Apple Crumble

Adress: 39 Dame Street, Dublin, Co. Dublin

Café Bliss, Dublin

„I’ve learned that ‚Bliss‘ means ‚Glückseeligkeit‘ in German and the ‚Café Bliss‘ is definitely a happy place. Locals are going in and out. There are so many delicious dishes on the menue. If you’re looking for breakfast or lunch. I’ve been there twice to have breakfast so far and I hope I’m going to find time for another cozy foodsession before I fly home.“

Must try: Jumbo Irish Breakfast

Adress: 4B Montague Street, City Centre SouthDublin, Co. Dublin

The Brass Monkey, Howth

„You must eat Fish n‘ Chips when you visit Howth. It’s called the ‚Fishery Harbour Centre‘ and there are so many fish restaurants in a row. I’m not sure why my way led me to ‚The Brass Monkey‘, but anyway, I’ve been there twice so far and the beer battered fish they serve is so tender and definitely the best I’ve had in Ireland.“

Must try: Beer Battered Fish and Chips
